It never ceases to amaze me just how profound an effect artists can have on each other. Especially within such a niche ship fandom as the KiGo fandom. So many fellow KiGo shipper artists and writers have influenced me over the last couple of years since I crashed their party. But I haven't enjoyed such an interactive influence with any of them as I have with Ruepelwelpe
Not only did Ruepelwelpe accept me and welcome me, she encouraged me to continue with my storytelling-laden comments on her work. From all appearances, she seemed to draw as much enjoyment from my little acts of whimsy as I did from her artwork. Indeed, at least once before, my comment on one of her art pieces has led to a follow-up comic strip sketch based on my script (complete with a misspelling I'd failed to catch before posting).
It's Hard To Not Be Conceited...When my comments somehow inspire pieces like this...
Thank you so much, Ruepelwelpe, for the wonderful sketch! I can't get myself over it.
And, it's happened again. Ruepelwelpe must have really liked my last comment on this piece:
...because within a day, she was able to post the rough pencils to a comic based on my script. And it's even more beautiful than the last one she did.
Look at those facial expressions and how they perfectly capture the mood and the moment of each particular frame. It is said that practice makes perfect and one can tell that Ruepelwelpe has been working hard on her art.
Go check out her art! Unlike me, she doesn't limit herself to KiGo. She has a lot of quality art for many fandoms as well as her own creations (and even herself).
